Technical conversion and review only
Bank File Flow provides technical conversion and data-review utilities. The tools parse, classify, reconcile and reformat data based on the columns and structure a source file actually contains. They cannot determine the correct account, tax treatment, business purpose, or regulatory classification of a transaction.
Not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice
Nothing on this website — including tool output, reconciliation results, guides, or help content — is financial advice, accounting advice, tax advice, or legal advice. It is provided for general informational and technical-preparation purposes only.
Review every result before relying on it
Reconciliation and validation checks (such as running-balance or opening/closing-balance comparisons) improve the review process but do not guarantee accuracy. A row that a tool cannot confidently resolve is flagged for review rather than guessed — but flagged and unflagged rows alike should be checked. Before importing a converted file into accounting software, compare the transaction count, date range, amounts, direction (debit/credit or charge/payment), currency, descriptions and references against the original statement, and keep an unchanged copy of the source file.
Generated files may contain errors
A converted or exported file may contain parsing errors, source-document errors carried over from the original statement, or gaps in a document's own layout that the tools could not fully interpret. Always review before relying on it for accounting, reporting or reconciliation purposes.
Third-party products and platforms
Names such as QuickBooks, Xero and Zoho Books identify accounting platforms whose published import formats certain export options are designed to be compatible with. References to banks, card issuers, or accounting platforms anywhere on this site do not imply their endorsement, certification, or affiliation with Bank File Flow. Their import requirements can change independently of this site, so consult each platform's own current documentation before relying on a specific export format.
When to consult a professional
For accounting, tax, regulatory or reconciliation decisions that matter to your business or personal finances, consult a qualified professional familiar with your records and jurisdiction. Bank File Flow is a preparation aid, not a substitute for that judgment.
