How it works

From bank export to reviewed CSV

Select or drop a file

Choose a supported statement or CSV export from your device.

Review the detected data

Confirm column mapping, warnings, row counts and the transaction preview.

Export the corrected file

Download a new CSV, then compare it with the original before importing.

Financial-file privacy

Your statement is read locally

The converters use browser file APIs and JavaScript to read and transform the selected file. Statement contents are not posted to the website, authentication service, payment provider or advertising service.

Read the privacy guide

What “local processing” covers

It covers the financial file you select, its parsed rows and the generated download. Account sign-in, subscription billing and configured analytics are separate website services and may process ordinary account or usage information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Keep the original. A clean export is a working copy, not a replacement for your source statement.
Accounting workflows

Prepare a file before importing it

Use the formatters to create consistent dates, descriptions and signed amounts for QuickBooks, Xero or a standard accounting CSV workflow.

Independent preparation tools

Bank File Tools does not connect to an accounting account and does not send files to QuickBooks or Xero. Product names describe compatible manual formatting workflows, not endorsement or affiliation.

Common questions

Before you choose a tool

Are bank files uploaded to the website?

No. The converter reads the selected financial file inside your browser. Account, billing and advertising requests do not include its contents.

Do I need to sign in?

No. Free single-file conversion works without an account. Sign-in is used only to recognize optional Pro access.

Will the CSV import into every accounting platform?

No converter can guarantee that. Requirements vary by product and can change. Review the output and follow the current import instructions for your accounting software.

Are QuickBooks and Xero connected to this site?

No. The formatters prepare files for manual workflows and are not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.

What should I check before importing?

Compare row count, date range, debit and credit direction, totals, duplicates and references with the original statement.
