Transparent limitations
A page with no selectable text (a scan, or vector-outlined text with no underlying text objects) can be scanned entirely in your browser with Detect Text — English, Arabic and Urdu are supported. Low-confidence results are outlined in orange so you can review them before trusting the text; nothing is uploaded.
Edit Text supports selectable PDF text that can be changed reliably. Replacement uses bundled Noto Sans for supported Latin, Greek and Cyrillic text. Unsupported characters are blocked with a clear export error. If text cannot be changed safely, the original is left untouched.
After you enter the correct password, editing continues locally and the downloaded edited copy is unencrypted. The password is never stored and the original remains unchanged.
Any modification can invalidate an existing cryptographic signature. The editor warns when common signature markers are detected.

Does my PDF get uploaded?
No. Opening, text detection, editing and export run locally in this browser tab.
Can I edit existing text?
Use Edit Text to select available text and type your change. The downloaded PDF contains your replacement or deletion. If text cannot be changed safely, the original is left untouched and the editor shows a clear error.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
Yes. Switch to Edit Text and click Detect Text to recognize text on that page locally (English, Arabic and Urdu). Recognized blocks are editable the same way as other text. Low-confidence recognitions are outlined so you can check them first. Nothing leaves your browser.
Can I undo page and object changes?
Yes. Existing-text edits, annotations and page operations share undo and redo history. Use the buttons or Ctrl/Cmd+Z and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z.
Will my original PDF change?
No. Export downloads a new file and leaves the original unchanged.
